Melissa Davies is an internationally respected corporate trainer and project facilitator who consistently delivers a deep level of cultural team training and leadership development skills to all her clients. As the principal of Wise Ways Consulting, Ms. Davies provides extensive training and facilitation services and programs to U.S. federal and local state government agencies in addition to non-profit organizations and private companies.
Ms. Davies has a one-world focus to her services. She works to help her clients understand and respect their diverse work teams and learn how to take advantage of unique skills and perspectives that are found in diverse teams and environments.
She began her consulting career in her native Canada where she earned her B.Ed. with honors from the University of Victoria in British Columbia. Ms. Davies’ education and experiences include organizational communication, speech communication, organizational development, diversity awareness, and sustainable innovation. She has both systems thinking and behavioral management skills, which provide for a holistic understanding of individuals and their roles within company innovation and change processes.
Over the past decade, Ms. Davies’ work has repeatedly taken her beyond Washington, D.C. She has been called on to work with organizations from Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates to Manila in the Philippines. She believes in a hands-on approach to working with her clients to build a level of trust and understanding for their communication styles and needs.
Her eagerness to travel goes beyond her work interest in multicultural communications. Ms. Davies has traveled extensively with clients throughout Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Her personal travels have taken her to other unique locations such as South Africa, Vietnam, Myanmar, and Malta.
Through her international consulting and training, Ms. Davies has developed innovative training programs that effectively align management teams and company sectors to generate collaborative systemic solutions. With over fifteen years experience in results-focused facilitation, consulting, training, and executive coaching for non-profits, private and public sector clients, Ms. Davies knows how to quickly establish rapport with audiences and clients. Her ability to put both junior and senior leadership teams at ease allows her to effectively lead strategic planning and project improvement programs as well as team effectiveness sessions to elevate people to the next level of leadership success.
